My sauce hardened after it cooled....any tips on what i am doing wrong?


Thanks for reading my blog. To answer your question: use 1 cups sugar instead of two. Use granulated sugar instead of brown ( someone told me after I wrote this recipe that granulated sugar caramelizes better than brown sugar. Use iced water instead of cold tap water. Make sure to quickly pour in the iced cold water immediately after removing it from heat. The sauce hardened because the sugar portion is more than the amount of water, use less sugar. However I made my sauce with the same amount of ingredients that I have written down here and it was Ok. My aunt just told me about an easy way to make the sauce. Look for the update above.
