To make this caramel sauce, the chef uses condensed milk instead of cream. Brown sugar and corn syrup is also used. Add a pinch of salt if desire.
3 cups brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup butter, softened
5 oz. condensed milk
- In a saucepan combine the brown sugar, corn syrup and butter. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, and add milk and beat with a mixer until smooth
