Saltfish mixed with baked beans is an easy recipe that is ideal for everyone; even vegetarians. It perfectly goes well with rice or any other food of your choice.

Ingredients
1 ripe tomato, sliced
Hot pepper-used according to your tolerance level
1 clove garlic, sliced or crushed
1/2 of 1 onion, sliced
4 tsp. vegetable oil
1 300g (10 oz.) baked beans, drained
1 tbsp. ketchup
1/8 tsp. water to make a sauce-like consistency

Ingredients
1 ripe tomato, sliced
Hot pepper-used according to your tolerance level
1 clove garlic, sliced or crushed
1/2 of 1 onion, sliced
4 tsp. vegetable oil
1 300g (10 oz.) baked beans, drained
1 tbsp. ketchup
1 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. water to make a sauce-like consistency

Put a Dutch pot or deep-bottomed skillet on medium-low heat. Add the vegetable oil.

Sauté the onion, hot pepper, tomato and garlic in the hot oil until they become translucent.

Add the saltfish, sauté  the saltfish for about a minute or two then add the water.

Add the baked beans and ketchup. Stir to combine all the ingredients in the pot. Lower the heat to the lowest settings.

Cover pot and simmer saltfish and baked beans for about two minutes. Remove from heat. Best serve hot or warm.
