There is something quite satisfying about making homemade BBQ sauce. I've developed a very simple recipe that is made with everyday ingredients you probably have in your cupboard (pantry).
My homemade barbecue sauce is sweet (but not oversweet) and spicy. Molasses, Worcestershire sauce, tomato ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar are the key ingredients.
Vanilla sauce ideal with cakes and ice cream. Made with milk, vanilla extract, egg yolks, salt and sugar.
To make this caramel sauce, the chef uses condensed milk instead of cream. Brown sugar and corn syrup is also used. Add a pinch of salt if desire.
Chocolate sauce made with sugar, cocoa, vanilla, water, butter and cream—succulent sweet. Ideal with cakes and ice cream. In this recipe the chef used cocoa instead of chocolate.
On my recent trip to Negril, I had peach sauce with ice cream and then with pork. Some other people had it with fish. The sauce tastes very good, so I had to share it with the world, even though it is not a Jamaican recipe.
This homemade turkey gravy, made from scratch with cornstarch and drippings is low in calorie but very tasty and leaving guilt free!
Serve honey caramel sauce warm over ice cream, custard and pudding
