Jamaican Pineapple peel drink recipe
This is an old-fashioned Jamaican Pineapple drink recipe
Ingredients
Peeling from 1 pineapple
2 slices of pineapple
piece of dried orange peel
6 cloves
Sugar to taste (brown or granulated)
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg (optional)
Enough water to cover the ingredients
Method
Put a pot with water on high heat. bring to a boil. Wash the pineapple and orange peel. Put all the ingredients into a clean glass jug. Pour the boiling water on the ingredients in the jug. Cover the jug and leave for one day. The next day, strain off the liquid and sweeten it with sugar. Stir. Sprinkle in the nutmeg (optional) and stir. Serve with ice or chilled. The remaining amount if any, should be kept in a glass jug or bottle, store in the refrigerator for two days
