Jamaican steamed bammy recipe
Bammy is made from cassava and a little bit of flour is added. This is steamed flavoured bammy. How to fry bammy and other methods of steaming bammy
2 bammies ( cut 0ne bammy into 3-4 pieces, depending on the size)
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 green sweet pepper ( sliced)
1/2 red sweet pepper ( sliced
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or dried basil leaves
Place saucepan over low-medium heat then pour water in it and add bammy pieces. Add butter and fresh thyme leaves or dried basil leaves and continue to steam bammy
Add red and green sweet pepper, continue to steam for another five minutes, remove from heat and serve hot with fish or shrimps.
