I mentioned before that Jamaicans love corn. We used to corn to make porridge, put into soups, roasted, boiled, parched to make asham, use to make corn chowder, mixed with flour to make dumplings, and use to make a lovely drink.
Corn drink is easy to make, I prefer using canned sweet corn than fresh sweet corn.
1 canned whole kernel sweet corn
Sweetened condensed milk
Dust of nutmeg (optional)
A splash of vanilla flavouring (optional)
In a large container, mixed corn and sweetened condensed milk. Add a small amount of water. Add the vanilla and nutmeg. Stir. Put to chill, then serve.
