Vanilla sauce recipe

Vanilla sauce ideal with cakes and ice cream. Made with milk, vanilla extract, egg yolks, salt and sugar.
Ingredients
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
6 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
Method
- In a saucepan, boil milk, vanilla extract, and salt
- In a bowl, beat egg yolks, with sugar. Keep stirring while pouring boiling milk into mixture
- Return mixture to stove. Cook while stirring constantly until creamy
- Remove from heat and cool
