Beer BBQ sauce Jamaican style

There is something quite satisfying about making homemade BBQ sauce. I've developed a very simple recipe that is made with everyday ingredients you probably have in your cupboard (pantry).

Ginger BBQ sauce

Serve as a dipping sauce or use as a basting sauce for chicken, ribs, or pork.  Homemade BBQ Jamaican style

French fried chicken

Ingredients

1/2 cup beer (room temperature)

1/4 cup. red wine vinegar

1 glove crushed garlic

2 tbsp. brown sugar

1 tsp. crushed red pepper

1/2 cup water

Method

1. Combine all ingredients, except the garlic and  crushed red pepper in a blender and blend well.

2. Pour mixture into a medium pot on low heat. Add crushed red pepper and garlic. Simmer sauce down until it is thickened.  (about 10 minutes or so..) Remove from heat . Use as a dipping sauce or as a basting sauce for chicken, ribs, or pork
