Put the eggs into a pot
Pour enough tap water to cover them
Put the pot on high heat and bring water to a boil.
Turn off heat and leave the eggs in covered pot on the stove for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, peel the eggs
Peeling hard-boiled eggs
For easy peeling, plunge eggs into water before peeling. Having said all that, fresh eggs (eggs that are less than three days old) are the most difficult to peel. The older the egg, the larger the air cell, and the neater it peels.
Jamaicans who are in their thirties like myself, sprinkle black pepper and salt on our hard-boiled eggs whereas younger Jamaicans sprinkle only salt.
Egg Tips: To prevent eggs from cracking when cooking; let them stand at room temperature for at least 5 minutes.
