Motorists will start paying more to use Highway 2000 East-West, in the coming week.
The operators of the highway say while they were able to forgo a rate review last year, it has become necessary to implement an increase effective July 6.
On the Vineyards, the toll for Class One vehicles will move from $440 dollars $480 .
Class Two vehicles $640 to $700 while it will cost $1,320 up from $1210 dollars for Class Three vehicles.
On the Spanish Town leg it will cost $170 up from $160 for Class One vehicles, while operators of Class Two vehicles will have fork out $260 - an increase of $20.
The rate for Class Three vehicles will move from $440 to $470.
For motorists using the Portmore leg the new toll for Class One vehicles will be $240 up from $220 dollars.
Class Two vehicles $380 up from $350 while $60 will be added to the rate for Class Three vehicles at $730 .
The cost to travel on the May Pen leg will also go up.
There will be a $10 increase for Class One vehicles which will attract a $120 toll, while for Class Two vehicles it will move from $180 to $200.
The new rate for Class Three vehicles will be $400 up from $360
