How to cook rice in an oven. I was baking chicken the other day, and I decided to put a pot with uncooked rice in the oven, and it turns out great. However, I do believe it is nonsensical to turn on the oven just to bake rice because it takes a longer time than cooking on stove top


4 cups Alberta long grain white rice (use any rice of your choice)

1 tbsp. Chiffon margarine (can use butter or oil)

salt to taste


Wash rice until water runs clear.  I put washed rice into an IMUSA pot, you can use bakeware.  Add water; the water should be 1 inch over the rice.

Add margarine, cover pot with foil paper. Bake rice in a preheated oven at 350F for 30 –40 minutes until done
