Jamaican French Fried Chicken (fried chicken)
March 30, 2022
Jamaican French fried chicken. To season the chicken, I used a new type of spices combination in Jamaica
Ingredients
2 lbs. chicken, remove fats, singe hairs from chicken, wash in vinegar and water solution, drained, pat dry
Spices that I used to season chicken (You can use your regular spices)
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. bad nuh bitch (blended spices, this is really good and it is new in Jamaica)
2 tsp. Joe Grind (blended spices, this is really good and it is new in Jamaica)
1 tsp. KFC original season (blended spices, this is really good and it is new in Jamaica)
Salt to taste
Enough vegetable oil to fry chicken
2 eggs mixed with 1/4 cup cow’s milk
2 cups all purpose flour, season with 1 tsp. baking powder and some of the spices mentioned above
Method
Season chicken with salt and spices then cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours
Drench chicken pieces in the flour mixture; shake off excess flour. Heat should be on medium-low
Heat oil in a skillet or Dutch pot fry the coated chicken pieces for about 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown; drain on absorbent paper
