How to roast breadfruit on an open fire
Use a coal stove or the rim of a car to roast several breadfruit at once. The use of automobile rims is widely practiced in Jamaica. You can tell when breadfruit is ready to roast by looking at its skin; it should be dark in color. Remove the stem and allow the strains to drain from the stem's location. Picking the breadfruit the day before roasting ensures that the strain is properly drained. To ensure the strains are drained, cut an x in the bottom of the breadfruit
Roast one or more breadfruit on a coal stove or car rim. Turn breadfruit every 5 minutes until completely roasted. Serve immediately after peeling
