How to make Jamaican cassava dough

grated cassava

Grated cassava to make cassava dumplings. Grated cassava is made by grating the peeled and washed root of the cassava plant, resulting in a wet, fibrous pulp. Watch video recipe, how to make cassava dumplings from scratch

1 medium to large size cassava

2 cups all purpose flour

1/8 tsp. salt

Wash and peel cassava. Cut into pieces, hand grater or use a food processor. I used a food processor. Put cassava pieces into a food processor and blend well. Scrape the cassava pulp into a container.

Put  pulp into a clean cloth and squeeze out the starch. Add the flour and salt to the cassava pulp, use water to make dough
